Ah, the Sega Dreamcast, it brings back old memories. Who am I kidding, I never had the Dreamcast myself. So unfortunately, my personal experience is limited to the only game (Sonic Adventures) that I have ever played on it. But, what I do know is that you can play Dreamcast games on Android!
What You Will Need:
- Reicast or use This One if you are running a Lollipop Device and Experience Crashes with the Play Store version.
- Dreamcast Game .GDI
- Dreamcast Bios
The Simple Process:
Okay, here is what you need to do. First find a Dreamcast game. It could be in either .gdi format or .chd (v4). You could always use online tools to rip the data from your own disc or perform a Google search.
Then download the Dreamcast bios. Unzip the contents and create a folder on your Android device called _reicast _and inside that folder create another folder called data and transfer the dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin to that folder. You can transfer the game anywhere you like on your device.
Finally, open up the emulator. Go to paths, and in the System Path, specify the location to your bios. SO it should be /storage/sdcard0/reicast/data.
Below that you can also specify that path to your game. Finally, you can boot it up.
